This comprehensive 1-day training is ideal for anyone applying for a Specialised Wildlife Licence for venomous species.

Delivered in line with Australian legal requirements, this course includes:

Snake Awareness Workshop (with Handling)

For Councils, Mining Sites & Field Workers

This hands-on workshop is designed to prepare participants for real-life encounters with venomous snakes in outdoor, rural, or high-risk environments. Ideal for:

  • Local councils and parks staff

  • Mining and construction personnel

  • Rural workers and remote site teams

  • Emergency responders and ranger teams

The session includes:

  • Identification of local venomous species

  • Behavioural cues and early warning signs

  • Best practices during snake encounters

  • Snake bite first aid and emergency response

  • Handling techniques using tongs, hooks, and bags

  • Live handling of venomous snakes under strict supervision

This training equips participants to respond confidently, safely, and professionally in the field.

Locations & Availability

We regularly host training on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and regional QLD. We can also deliver on-site sessions at your workplace or remote site, pending a safety assessment and minimum participant numbers.
