How long does the birthday party show go for?

Our birthday party wildlife show usually runs for approximately 60 minutes. This includes around 45 minutes of animal presentation and approximately 15 minutes for photo opportunities, depending on the group size and the flow of the party.

What animals do you bring?

The animals can vary depending on availability, weather, animal welfare, and the type of party booked. A typical birthday show may include a mix of:
Lizards
Pythons
Turtles
Invertebrates
Crocodile, when available and suitable
We usually bring a minimum of 10 animals, giving children the chance to meet a variety of amazing Australian wildlife.

Can the children touch or hold the animals?

Yes, where safe and appropriate, children may have the opportunity to touch or hold selected animals under the direct supervision of our wildlife presenter.
Some animals are display-only, depending on the species, behaviour on the day, and safety requirements.

Is the show safe for children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Safety is our priority at all times. All animal interactions are carefully supervised by an experienced wildlife presenter. We provide clear safety rules at the beginning of the show and guide the children throughout the experience.
We choose animals that are suitable for children’s parties and manage all handling in a calm, controlled and respectful way.

What age group is the show suitable for?

Our birthday parties are suitable for a wide range of ages, especially children from around 3 years old and above.
For younger children, we keep the show fun, gentle and interactive. For older children, we can include more interesting facts, snake awareness, and exciting educational moments.

Do you bring venomous snakes to birthday parties?

Accepted Answer

No, our standard birthday party shows do not include venomous snakes.
For safety reasons, venomous animals are only used in specialised demonstrations or approved events with strict safety controls, no handling.

How much space do you need?

Accepted Answer

We recommend a clean, shaded area with enough room for children to sit comfortably in front of the presenter.
A lounge room, classroom, patio, undercover area, garage, marquee or shaded garden area can work well. We do not need a large space, but the area should be safe, calm and away from dogs or loud distractions.

Can the show be done indoors?

Yes. Indoor shows are often ideal because they provide a controlled environment for the animals and children.
We can also present outdoors, but the area must be shaded and suitable for the animals, especially during hot, cold, windy or rainy weather.

What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

If the party is outdoors and rain is expected, we ask that you provide an undercover option such as a patio, garage, marquee or indoor space.
For animal welfare and safety, we may not be able to run the show in open rain, extreme heat, strong wind or unsafe conditions.

Do you travel to my area?

Wildlife Instinct is based on the Gold Coast and travels to surrounding areas, including parts of Brisbane, Logan, Scenic Rim. We also travel all around QLD.
Travel fees may apply depending on the location.

How many children can attend?

Our standard birthday party is best suited for small to medium groups. We recommend keeping the group size manageable so every child has a good experience and photo opportunity.
For larger parties, please let us know the expected number of children so we can advise the best setup and package.

Can we take photos and videos?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. Photos and videos are welcome.
We usually allow time at the end of the show for special photo opportunities with selected animals, depending on the animals’ behaviour and welfare on the day.

How do I book?

To book a Wildlife Instinct birthday party, simply contact us with:

We will confirm availability and send through the booking details.

Question 14

Is a deposit required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is usually due before or on the day of the event, depending on the booking conditions provided.
Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received.

What if I need to reschedule?

We understand that plans can change. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
Rescheduling is subject to availability. Deposits may be non-refundable, but we will always try our best to find another suitable date where possible.

Can you adapt the show to a theme?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can adapt the style of the show depending on the age group and theme of the party.
For example, we can make the experience more fun and playful for younger children, more educational for older children, or include a “mini wildlife adventure” style presentation.

Are the animals well cared for?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Animal welfare is extremely important to us. Our animals are handled with care, transported safely, and only used when suitable for their wellbeing.
We may change the animal list on the day if required due to weather, behaviour, health, or welfare considerations.
